System breakdown

01

Overview

WayDorm was an end-to-end dorm furnishing concept that guided students from housing assignment through move-in and resale.

02

Problem

College move-in is a short, stressful window filled with fit issues, budget pressure, delivery friction, and poor resale options.

03

Solution

We proposed room-specific planning, curated style bundles, direct-to-dorm delivery, and an opt-in resale loop inside one Wayfair experience.

04

Personal contribution

I helped shape the product direction, journey design, and technical concept for the platform and its interactive demo.

05

Technical architecture

The concept centered on a dorm-aware 3D planning flow, bundled commerce, university delivery coordination, and a closed-loop refurbishment model.

06

Results

The project placed Top 3 in Wayfair's internal hackathon.
